My Project

My fourth grade students deserve to have some art in their education! Last year, I was able to give each of my students a sketchbook that brought them joy throughout the entirety of the year. I would love to be able to give my upcoming class this same gift. The erasable flair pens will be utilized in both their sketchbooks and when editing their writing pieces throughout the year.

On top of the sketchbooks, I plan to do a social emotional project with the modeling clay in which each student will make "worry stones" to put their worries for the year in.

We will do this within the first week of school and the students will be able to keep their worry stones in their desks throughout the year.

Incorporating art into an academic classroom is so important. It brings joy to the students and allows the whole class to interact as a community.
