My Project

Students will learn about soft goods design as a career. Students will brainstorm several different ideas for a soft toy. They will choose a design to create. They will make a pattern by drawing and cut it out. They will trace the pattern onto felt and cut it out. Pine the fabric and sew it together. Two different sewing stitches will be taught. cut the felt and sew it together. Students will sew details onto their stuffy before stuffing and closing. 175 fourth graders will take part we need a lot of felt and needles!
