Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Fourth and fifth grade students are great! They are growing and learning at a rapid speed not only academically, but with their hormones as well. Boys and girls can have a tough time with these changes and access to hygiene products can be expensive.

Let's face it, being a tween is tough!

Taking away the embarrassment or stigma around growing up is the purpose of this project. Each 4th and 5th grade classroom will be provided with a variety of hygiene items in order to combat some of the smellier aspects of growing up. Having items such as body wipes, pads, and leggings available in class removes the need to ask for permission to go to the nurse. Having these items in class makes it easy to get the things they need to get back to the business of learning.
