My Project

I love how my pre-k students just dive into learning and are ready to engage with the world around them! With this in mind, I strive to make our classroom a print rich environment that they can explore and build their emerging literacy skills. My students have access to engaging books and reading materials in the classroom and have the opportunity to check out books from the school library.

It's my goal to foster a love of reading but many of my students do not have access to high quality reading materials at home.

A subscription to Scholastic My Big World with Clifford preK readers is an amazing way for me to provide my students with both school and home access to quality reading material and fun school readiness activities. These little readers are full of simple information on a variety of non-fiction topics that are engaging and relevant! Issues include subjects such as dental health, animal habitats, weather, and more. Each month students will receive two paper readers and digital access for school and home use. The online access provides a robust content library. We can read stories, watch videos and play games. We can explore these readers together in school and then I can send them home to be enjoyed with their families.

This is a wonderful opportunity to support student success and bridge the gap between home and school learning! Thank you for considering a donation to my project in support of early readers!
