My Project

I teach at-risk preschool children, and I am gearing up for another exciting school year! I love teaching young children! They come to school with boundless energy and a joy for learning. I enjoy providing them with engaging, creative activities to develop their brains and bodies!

Developing fine motor skills is a primary focus in the preschool curriculum.

Activities that strengthen the small muscles, especially in the hands, help young children gain precision and control along with eye-hand coordination which is linked to early literacy. Preschool children will pinch and grasp crayons, squeeze and mash Play-Doh and kinetic sand, flick paint brushes, twist glue sticks, and press hole punchers. With these tools, I can create lessons and craft activities to help my students develop their fine motor skills. My goal is to help them become confident in their ability to use these materials while they are purposeful and productive in the classroom.

My students go through these supplies very quickly, so I need to keep these essential items in my classroom stock! I appreciate your support in considering a donation to my project. Your donation provides lasting support to these young learners.
