This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school is in a suburban area but our students come from all over Dallas and Tarrant Counties. Despite being in a major metropolitan area and with many from "traditional" family units, there is still a high percentage of students that are not afforded the opportunity and experiences as their neighbors due in part to financial constraints.
My students may come from very diverse backgrounds but they have important things in common, being gifted and talented and a love of learning.
Despite their race, gender, socio-economic status, or address, these students have shown that they have a little something extra to offer.
My Project
These items will help to end our year with style! Our staff and students have been through a lot this semester. Online learning has been a challenge but we have persevered.
The world is different for us all right now but celebrating our successes shouldn't have to be.
These cricut materials, and cricut machine, will help us create personalized rewards for a job well done during our appreciation parade and help us prepare our classrooms and materials for the next year.
These are trying times for us all, celebrations can lift spirits, and keep us motivated. Personalized items make these celebrations even more special.
