Little Hands Working Hard

My Students

My students are now learning in their home environment and will continue to do so throughout the remainder of the school year. Many of my students do not have their own devices and have been able to get one through the school system, they are also having difficulty getting internet service.

While my students are struggling to learn in a new way, I would love to provide them with materials they can use at home that will help them to better understand the new concepts they are learning.

With familiar items like play doh and dry erase markers and white boards my students will be able to practice reading and writing skills. With math manipulatives and tens frames my students will be able to apply their new math skills.

My Project

My students will be able to see the lessons online come to life in their living room or kitchen! I video each lesson and use items from around my home to help my students get a better understanding, I want my students to have learning tools in their home to help them gain knowledge even when they are away from school.

These materials will enable my students to embrace and enjoy learning at home.

The place mats will allow my students to have a space to work with the play doh- whether they are creating a sea monster, building their words and letters with the play doh, or counting sets of objects. The white boards and dry erase markers will allow my students to work on math and writing skills. The ten frame mats and manipulatives will allow my students to apply place value and teen number concepts they are learning.
