Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students left for spring break in March, never knowing we wouldn't have another day in our classroom. We didn't return the following week and moved into distance learning. We are allowed to Zoom with students once a week, but I've only had 2-4 students attend these past 2 weeks. I know my students could use some hands-on learning materials to keep them busy at home.
My Project
My students have been stuck at home due to the Texas Safe at Home order. We are providing distance learning through the Seesaw platform and Zoom meetings once a week. I would love to surprise my students with some hands-on learning activities. The Water Wow! coloring books are really neat because the water makes color appear and it disappears again as the page dries. The pattern block sets come with cards so that the students can create different animals. We always had a lot of opportunities for hands-on fun in class. I know my students would be excited to receive these fun learning activities during this time that we can't learn together.
