My Students

The library media center is a vibrant and evolving place that aims to be a hub of the school and to touch all students and staff. We are an active place of learning and exploration.

We are the English Language Learner elementary school for the district and serve a diverse range of students.

To support that diversity and natural student energy, the library is very much alive. It is also not just about the books on the shelves, and it is different from the way we remember it as a child. The library is focused on exposing students to the positive and creative uses of technology. Our Makerspace is a new and growing section of the library where we foster hands-on learning.

My Project

During this time of remote learning, it is essential to find quality online materials. We have an existing collection of interactive e-books that will read to students in a natural voice and yet we want more. These books will meet many curriculum needs as well as student interests.

Online learning should continue to meet the diverse needs of our students.

We have been blessed with free resources for teachers, but they will eventually end and I want to add additional titles to our permanent collections. Students love to read and I want to have books that interest them.
