My Students
My second graders are a fun-loving group of seven year olds! Majority of my students come from different economical backgrounds and have a variety of learning styles that they bring to my room. My students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many hardships they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with imaginative and meaningful learning experiences. They want to be in school because they want to learn and become successful.
My students are full of life, enjoy hands-on activities, and are always eager to learn.
Every day my students come into my room full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what they will be learning. From the moment they enter my room, I focus on the potential growth in my students. I want to make the learning in my classroom very hands-on and interactive for all of my students. I feel that they are at their best when learning is hands-on and the information will stick with them. My goal for all of my students is to inspire them to continue on a path of academic excellence.
My Project
My classroom needs paper, and lots of it! All of the paper in this project will allow me to create interactive and hands on learning centers, interactive notebooks, foldables, and so much more.
My students will be able to make memories throughout the school year by creating projects and displaying them for everyone to see.
Using colored paper is also a great way to promote parent involvement. When I send important notes home, I like to use the bright paper because it tends to catch the eye. The variety of colored paper will also help me organize and differentiate my centers. Using colors in my center groups provides the means for success in all of my students in a more efficient way. The laminator will be a great resource in the classroom as well because it will not only allow me to laminate the things that I need for these centers, but will ensure I will be able to use the materials for years to come.
