Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is full of my wonderful, creative students whom I love. They are bright and full of potential. My students are a joy to teach and truly want to learn. They are a mixture of all the best aspects of students their age: smart, resourceful, eager, open to new ideas, and willing to take chances.
I cannot say enough good things about them, they inspire me daily.
We are a school of character and my students have tremendous hearts, as well as talent. They do not attend a school with a large art budget. That is why DonorsChoose.org plays such a vital part in our classroom.
My Project
Having an Apple Pencil in our classroom would allow the students to use the ProCrete app, the Paper app, Adobe Photoshop sketch app, and many others to create dynamic digital art. The New Trent case would help keep the iPad safe from in a middle school classroom.
My classroom has talented artists who are the creative leaders of the future.
The Apple Pencil allows for maximum interaction with the art apps on iPads. The New Trent iPad case is very durable which is what we need when the iPad is in our middle schoolers' hands.
Our school does not have the budget for a purchase like this, DonorsChoose.org offers an opportunity for this technology to be in our classroom.
I would love to offer them the opportunity to use an Apple Pencil for their art and a case keep the iPad safe as I believe exposure to new technology can help influence their futures.
