My Students

My class of fifth graders is full of energetic, active students. They walk into my class willing and ready to learn. They come from various backgrounds within our community. I have students whose parents are in the Navy or Coast Guard and one parent is on deployment much of the time. Other students are from homes where their parents are working two or more jobs.

Every day, my students are challenged to stretch their minds and push themselves farther than they thought possible.

They are many times surprised by what they can achieve when they believe in themselves.

My Project

My students have been working so very hard this school year and we have almost reached the finish line. As we begin to review for state tests and try to remain as focused as we can with the summer looming, my students have found we need some additional items in our room. We already have many flexible seating options but not enough for everyone to have a choice. We are wanting to get four more NeoRok wobble stools to allow more of our classmates to sit and wobble as we work very hard towards finishing our year.

These wobble stools allow my students with ADHD and other special needs to focus and work while still moving.

Review can sometimes be a tedious task for students but with the help of the three-hole punch, students will be able to organize their review folders and keep everything in its place. The dry erase pockets and Expo markers will allow us to be creative and colorful as we use various worksheets and other tools for review.
