My Project

My journey in education started over 14 years ago as a paraprofessional and has led me to pursue my masters in education, which I will complete in December. This is my second year in a row teaching third grade in a TAM teaching model with at least 50% of students that require additional support. After reflecting on last year, I came to the conclusion that my classroom has a high need for literacy resources and deserve several educational and enrichment items that support literacy.

My goal is to foster an environment that is warm, welcoming, and fosters growth, creativity, and imagination.

This year, I decided to put a big emphasis on reading, seating options in the classroom, and furniture that would support learning, productivity, and organization. The rotating bookshelf is a space saving piece of furniture that will allow students easy access to reading materials in our reading area. The stools will serve as seating at the small group reading table. The saucer chairs will be a comfy addition to the reading area. The books include a wide variety of interests, reading levels, and topics that students are interested in.

I am so excited to meet my new students this year. With your support, I will be able to create a classroom that will support the education of my students.
