My Project

This project has been created to help enhance the classroom for third grade students at our school. I currently teach English Language Arts and this year I will also teach Social Studies. My students will not only learn the foundational skills to become fluent readers but also upstanding citizens in our country.

The items used in this project will allow me to create a clean, fun and exciting learning environment that students will be eager to enter each day.

A huge component of teaching is tending to students social and emotional needs. The stuffed animals and LEGOs listed in my cart will be used as calm down activities for students when they are in a heightened state emotionally. I have also added a book that targets kindness. Kindness is always a theme in my 3rd grade classroom. I always stress the importance of showing kindness to my students for not only their peers but others in our community they interact with daily.

The tissues will come in handy for the fall season and for sanitary needs in the classroom. Please help me enhance the learning environment for the new 3rd grade scholars.
