My Students

This school year we are opening our program to 3K students along with Pre-K. Our program is growing fast and our student enrollment has increased drastically. We have 11 different locations on Staten Island to serve 3K students.

Our students come from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Some are attending school for the first time, while others are joining us after completing another pre-school program.

I intend to run a Physical Education program that will focus on early childhood development and motor skills. Students will be growing and learning this year in my classroom using many different skills, including enhancing gross motor movement and fine motor skills, among many other things.

My Project

During these "new" times at school where we aren't doing the usual things, teachers need to be creative with lessons and planning. We are currently not allowed to go outdoors and want to give students the ability to exercise and dance while safely inside their classroom.

As a Physical Education teacher, I want students to exercise at least 60 minutes each day, and the materials in this project will help me to teach inside classrooms during the "COVID-19" scenario that our students are in.

The video and projector materials will help me teach 3K and Pre-K students who are inside of their classrooms all day, because we cannot go outside or use the school gymnasium.
