Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Reggio Emilia is a philosophy of education in which young children are viewed as capable, creative, and intelligent. The teacher's job is to nurture each child's need for connection with their peers, adults, and nature while also guiding them to pursue their own interests.

Reggio inspired education is often found in private preschools-- my goal is to break down economic barriers and bring high quality Reggio inspired materials into our classroom!

Some items on my wish list (such as the string lights and plants) will help bring a calm learning environment for my students, while others (wooden stacking toys, sensory blocks) will help encourage student's independent learning. There are also items to encourage each student's curiosity outdoors such as our butterfly nets, binoculars, and our picnic blanket!
