My Students

Do you believe in magic? We do! We have students who are eager to create and explore the world of 3 dimensional figures and the 3Doodler is like a magic wand to help make this a reality!

Our school is a wonderful place filled with bright students.

As with many children, they do not have many opportunities to learn about current events with age appropriate material on their reading level. Approximately 80% of our students are eligible for free or reduced priced meals. Although they may lack the advantages of peers from more affluent settings, they do not lack for energy and enthusiasm! Our school is a small neighborhood school in an urban setting.

My Project

The 3Doodler lets students sculpt objects and sculptures in 3D! It uses safe, PLA plastic "drawing sticks" that harden in seconds after. The 3Doodler is the world's first pen that lets students draw in 3D, so they can sculpt amazing objects and models from the ground up. I want my students to try making an Eiffel Tower, a skyscraper, or anything else they can imagine. The possibilities are endless! We'll first have students create sketches of their creations using software programming. From there, we'll take the sketches to life with the 3Doodler. Concepts in math, science, technology and engineering will be reinforced using this amazing tool.

My goal is to get my students to use the 3Doodler to expand their thinking and make connections to problem solving.

We are going to use the 3Doodler as part of our learning centers. I am always trying to keep my students challenged and try to get them to think more creatively and I can't wait to see how much the 3Doodler will help my students use their brains in different ways.
