Schools have a lot of paper laying around. What better way to use it then to build with it. The Silhouette portrait works with our 3D software for students to create spaces. The Silhouette adds perforated lines and fold lines to paper to allow students to create 3D shapes that they can then change into buildings, spaces and objects. Students have to program it to the correct dimensions learning about shapes, perimeter and area as well as 3D shapes. This is an awesome geometry lesson for them to do in the STEM lab. For this lesson, students will be creating mock-ups of cities, creating vehicles for movement and creating objects that can be found around a city.
