Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school loves to teach each individual student and meet him/her at his/her level of creativity and talents. Our students can be very energetic and at times are dealing with anger management or behavior challenges that require our staff to teach in unorthodox ways.

In our community of high energy learners, we strive to have our students learn in multiple modalities such as technology in Minecraft.

My enthusiastic and energetic class consists of 35 students who are ready to give it their all every day.

Of those 35 kids, about 10 are receiving special services to meet their academic needs. Some of the other students need to show what they know by pictures. They will show what they know in Minecraft using many diverse materials. The students can switch off into stations so they, too, can work effectively and cooperatively. With our environment today and the ever-changing pace in our advanced technological society, our children need a safe place to learn, move, and have options on how to do their 21st Century work to be productive in future years. We are going to learn how to use Minecraft strategies and transfer what we learned into our academics.

My Project

Developing our children's minds in numerous aspects is what we strive to do. We will play the Minecraft game in an education edition and want to do it in a fun way with other gamers in the school using 15 ThinkWrite Ultra Durable headsets for our technology savvy students.

Finding strategies and unique modes of survival skills can also be taught and transferred into real life while learning how to play Minecraft in a STEAM setting.

With much creativity in a technological setting filled with numerous gaming equipment to enhance the students' experience, this would be a fun-filled environment for every child's learning.
