This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach Digital Design at a Title 1 high school in the South Bronx. In my class, we create our own 3D printed designs as part of our curriculum. Students love creating 3D designs and it's often the most popular activity in my class.
We have one printer at our school, with 130 students taking my class each semester.
This ends up being over 220 students a year and printing takes weeks or months sometimes!!
These printers and materials will allow us to expand our 3D curriculum and students' creativity.
