My Project

Welcome to our middle school! We are a neighborhood school in Philly that has a unique approach to learning. We are an inquiry driven, project based middle school that teaches students from all areas of our city. Many of our students come from low income areas and have spent their early years at more traditional schools.

As the Makerspace teacher in our building, I strive to give our students access to tools and materials they may not have encountered before.

Our older students learn the basics of 3D design and how to use our 3D printers, but our younger students often feel left out. 3D pens are the perfect stepping stone for our 5th graders before they begin using the 3D printers in 6th grade.

3D pens can make learning a lot more engaging for my students. They can learn the basics of 3D design in a hands-on way. With the pens, my students can learn the difference between 2D and 3D shapes, we can dive into perimeter, area, volume, and much much more. Math, Science, Art, Humanities - all of this can be incorporated as we create, learn, and write about our creations. These pens are the perfect addition to a STEM/STEAM classroom. We hope you consider funding us!
