Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
The thing that I love the most about my students is that they push me to reinvent the way I do things. I teach in an area where approximately two-thirds of the students are at an economic disadvantage, but they don't let that define who they are. My students have diverse backgrounds and I love to get to know all of their stories and embrace the awesome kids that they are! My students never fail to inspire me to become a better teacher. My students are 6th grade STEM students that are always looking for a challenge! They don't just want to learn something; they want to apply meaning to it, and they want to know that it is relevant. I want to be able to give them the opportunity to learn and have fun and challenge themselves in the process.
My students are ready to take their 3D printing skills to the next level, but we need your help!
Quite a few of my students have expressed interest in a dual extruder printer, which will allow them to create things in two colors instead of just one. It will require them to learn how to operate and program the printer, along with a different feature in the slicer software that we use to prep our prints. I feel my students are up to the challenge of a more complex machine.
