Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have a 3D printer in our technology lab, but we need the PLA material for the printer to make their ideas come to life. This set would offer them multiple colors and multiple spools of material so that all the scholars would get a chance to print their creations.

My students have worked on several projects including designing and creating their own board games, researching and creating zoo enclosures and now they would like the opportunity to bring their creations to life using the 3D printer.

We need enough material for 11 classes worth of 6th-8th graders to print their ideas. Our technology class is also a maker space with a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) integration. Scholars are engaging a curriculum that encourages creativity and innovative thinking. I would like them to be able to see their creations through to completion beyond just ideas, sketches and online designs.
