My Students

Our incredible middle school students represent neighborhoods from throughout the borough of Brooklyn, New York. We also represent a unique district (District 75) within the city of New York that is comprised of students with unique abilities and challenges, and this is in addition the daily struggles and challenges that are faced by their hard working families from across this city. In spite of everything, our students are resilient, brilliant, and they motivate me to try to be the best version of myself each day. Please take a moment to read about our aspirations and to share the following project with others.

My Project

3D printing technology has changed the way that we create, and my students light up at the opportunity to design and print their work. I am excited to provide them with this updated printer that will allow us to print faster (enabling more students to engage with the technology) and print larger as well (this will allow us to work in scale better than we previously could).

Having access to this medium-scale 3D-printer in our technology class will give my students more opportunities to advance their understanding of geometry, design, problem-solving, process, innovation and prototyping, and ultimately collaboration.

I am excited for the opportunity to work with my students in this medium and I am grateful for your support!
