My Project

Student emotional health has been in recovery mode since COVID-19. We are starting to see students return to the classroom but some are reluctant to return to traditional learning. I would like to provide some activities to increase student engagement, build relationship bonds and also inspire students to rediscover their creativity. 3D Pens would give my high school students a chance to engage with the material, each other and have fun doing it. I would like to offer engineering challenges to them while using the 3D pens in a collaborative setting. For example: Students might design a small bridge on their computers, then use the 3D pen to construct one. Then students could see how strong their design was by testing its load capacity with pennies. Students could then make adjustments to their design and build another. 3D pens would also be a fun thing they could use during their free time in the classroom.
