This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students hail from District 7 in the Bronx, which is a community that faces many challenges, and yet they persevere. They are so curious about the world around them and try their best, despite their circumstances. Help my students persevere this year by funding a project. We want to provide them with special educational opportunities that will lead to enthusiasm towards learning and school.

My Project

My first successful donation, thanks to amazing donors, was 3D printing pens. With the excitement of 3D printing pen use in full gear at school, we need to replenish the pen with more pen filament! Purchase of new mats will also help my students work independently, without the need to share the mats that protect our tables. This replenishment of the 3D printing pen supply and additional new mats will help continue the hands-on-learning experience with STEAM that was begun last year. My artsy, South Bronx kids love the 3D printing pens, and I hope to continue it more with them this school year!
