My Students

My students are in fourth grade and as their classroom teacher, I hope to create a warm, welcoming, reading paradise for students to develop lifelong skills of creation and making! I would love our classroom to be a place that is welcoming, where their imaginations can grow wild and can encourage them to reach their fullest potential.

My students need access to 3D printing technologies to help inspire them and their creative process!

How exciting could 3D printing be in the classroom? Twenty percent of our students are multicultural and disadvantaged, and about 25 percent of my students are considered below grade level. We have about 43% of our students performing at grade level according to the NYS Report Card data, so encouraging students to explore and create can give them the confidence they need to be successful!

My Project

These materials will provide experiences for our students to discover a world of making in fourth grade. Students will be able to use these products during recess to connect and collaborate with one another and also as part of our ELA, math and science curriculum.

Learning how to 3D print and create will help build leaders and will help our students find their passion in the field.

For this project, we will need 3D Doodlers for our students to create with! Students will become inspired to make and start to think about what problems they can solve in the world!
