My Students

We are a diverse community of K-12 learners at 12 sites across Brooklyn. Presently, our school serves over 563 students classified with a range of social, emotional and cognitive challenges including, but not limited to: autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and cognitive disabilities and emotional disturbances.

Each student comes to us with unique and often severe challenges that have negatively impacted their ability to succeed in a general education setting.

Just under 90% of our students are Title I eligible, meaning that they are living at or below the poverty line.

My Project

My students are eager to learn, and they have ambitious ideas. I run the technology classes at our middle school and I want to upgrade our 3D Printing Lab to include a UV Resin printing machine that can help my students see the quality of their work in high resolution and true fidelity to the designs that they create.

This machine will allow my students to design and 3D print projects that we are developing in class, whether they are prototyping an invention, developing a new tool, or perhaps even creating a piece of digital artwork.
