This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Welcome to 3-K for All. This is the first school experience for many of my 2 and 3 year old students. They are eager to come to school and play with new friends. They will develop new skills, passions, and friendships. We need a printer and a laminator in our classroom.

Our school is a Title I school.

The vast majority of our students are Hispanic or African-American. They come from low income families which work hard to meet the basic needs of their families.

My Project

Communication with families is a big part of developing a strong relationship. Families receive weekly newsletters and resources. Some of the resources include educational articles, songs and fingerplays. Parents are made aware of the happenings in the classroom and are able to extend the learning at home. We need a printer in order to have these resources available to families. We also need a laminator. The resources that we use in the classroom need to be laminated in order to withhold daily use. Songs and thematic games are used by students each day.
