This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Keep second graders engaged! I teach second grade in a K-8 school in a large city. My classroom is normally a buzz of activity with twenty students cheering on each other's achievements in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. This spring we are studying pollinators.
Observing the life cycle of ladybugs will bring pollinators for my students.
Children learn best with hands on activities and when they watch the life cycle in the classroom, they will truly understand what "metamorphosis" means. The book is an excellent read aloud so the children can learn more. The stickers will be a fun reward.
