My Project

Two years ago I was moved from teaching reading to 5th and 6th graders to teaching all subjects to 2nd grade. What a move it was! These little eager learners stole my heart. Now that I've got almost two years under my belt teaching 2nd graders, I am inspired to make some changes.

I want to make every part of my classroom a learning experience, a place students will be challenged and feel at home.

Second grade is magical because the students are ready to absorb everything. A rug with a world map where they can listen to a read aloud, books that I can change out each month to keep interest high and math supplies students can get their hands on are a few of my goals.

I want to continue to ignite the sparks of their learning!
