Hi everyone, this year has been unlike any other. You would think that because the pandemic is over, the tough part is behind us. But it is quite the opposite. My students are seeing now the repercussions of not having a sequential/uninterrupted education for 2 of the most formative years of their lives.
I'm humbly asking for your support again, to help us finish the year on a high note.
Your help back in September gave us a HUGE head start. We used those materials (and continue to do so) primarily in Math and Phonics. Phonics is such a big foundational piece of early childhood. I can't stress enough how your contribution made and continues to make a difference EVERY SINGLE SCHOOL DAY SO FAR. With your help, I've had the opportunity of creating multiple entryways for my lessons. Variety has been key for successful learning, all thanks to the materials obtained.
I need every child to have a math kit to reach their math goals. Developmentally, kids still need concrete materials to make more meaningful connections. Hence a huge portion of the donation will go towards math manipulatives.
Also, my students would highly benefit from a space dedicated to mindfulness and socio-emotional well-being. I have some children that come to school after dealing with very unsettling situations at home. Please help me create a safe haven for those students in my class.
Last but not least... It would be SO nice to always have a pen, pencil, or eraser readily available for my students. I'm also including that in the wishlist.
