This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Dear Donor,

I will be teaching 25 students in 2nd grade in the upcoming school year (August 26th, 2024).

I would love to get them a class pet as a class reward in October. I am asking for a donation toward buying a hamster cage, bedding, and food. Your donation will help 25 low-income students want to attend school every day (our attendance is not good school-wide). In addition, students will learn responsiblity, teamwork, and kindness to animals. Benefits of a class pet from research also show that they stimulate learning, and help the emotional and mental growth of students. I want my students to achieve academically, socially, and emotionally. Besides me doing my job well, a class hamster will help to achieve this goal.
