My Students

My students live in a rural Texas town. We are a low socio-economic school. English is a second language for many of the students in my class. Many of these students have limited resources at home and very few life experiences. Many have not traveled outside of our little town.

These 22 energetic second graders come to school everyday so eager to learn!

They love to read, use technology, problem solve and make friends. And I love giving them the best educational experiences, materials and resources that I possibly can.

My Project

My students love to create! That is the fun part! BUT - they want to print their work in color for all to see. This printer, ink, card stock and paper will be used for a variety of everyday educational needs including daily writing and printing in the classroom.

More so, however, I see my students being able to each have an opportunity to create and print group projects.

I also want them to learn how to respect the delicacies of the latest technology. Learn to problem solve, agree on what is needed most. Since this is a wireless printer, they can print from their iPads, computers and even a phone! Technology for my 2nd graders- They will love it!

We also would like a new iPad. We use them in stations every day and this will be so helpful.
