My Students

My students are eager to use technology in the classroom and they deserve the opportunity to use technology in their studies.

Apopka Elementary is a Title I school and therefore most of the students do not have access to technology and are missing out on all that technology has to offer them.

They often struggle with relating what they've learned to real-world concepts. My students need two iPad minis in order to interact with the technology portions of our curriculum. The use of the iPad minis would increase opportunities for students to make real-world connections and apply what they've learned.

My Project

The students will use the iPad minis in both reading and math small groups. Most of the usage will come in the form of research, animated math models, interactive games/activities, and teacher-student interaction. The iPads will be very useful in creating better student engagement and excitement for learning.

My students will undoubtedly be more motivated to complete assignments, research new topics, interact with each other, and learn new things with the addition of technology in the classroom.
