Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Team 23 starts off each day with a morning huddle. This is when I let the students know our agenda of the day as they eat breakfast and they complete their daily review of Math and Language Arts. We Review these problems and sentences later in the day. We finish our huddle with a Pledge of Respect.

My students are great!

They truly try to do their best in all they do. They are respectful, responsible and kind. Our school has a great culture of respect and love for everyone. The students know we truly care for them and the staff is supportive of everyone.

My Project

The document camera will help us tremendously in our classroom. We will use it to do math problems. I could easily show student work by simply placing their papers under the document camera. I could display a reading passage on paper, in a book or other form by placing it under the document camera and enlarging it. Everyone will be able to easily read whatever is placed under the camera by enlarging. We will review the morning work with the document camera. It will save time rather than having to write everything out on the white board. I will also be able to hook-up the laptop to it to display. I can grasp their attention and focus. It will be easy for students to follow along whatever it is we're doing.

With the new Common Core Standards we are to teach students skills for the 21st Century therefore we need 21st Century technology in the classroom.

For our students to be competitive globally and prepared for their future we need to provide them with all the tools possible. These materials will be cherished and cared for by Team 23 and we will be able to reach our goals in all subjects this school year.
