My Students

Ms. Ishii is the earth alive? Ms. Ishii how long can a camel go without water? Each day is filled with 22 hungry minds waiting to be fed. From the time the door opens to the moment the bell rings in the afternoon we are non-stop learning and doing and asking and growing.

I teach in a Special Education Inclusion classroom with all levels of learners.

We are learning about developing a Growth Mindset and understanding that everyone can make gains and progress no matter where they are at. Our school is a wonderful place that embraces all learners and encourages students to set and monitor their own goals.

My Project

Computers and headsets will help my range of students work on math, science and reading goals on their own level. They will allow students to monitor their own learning and be responsible for their growth. Computers will provide access to interactive learning and visuals which can be tailored to the students different levels. All students will be able to use the computers and headsets to work on lessons that have been tailored to their needs. They will have access to immediate feedback and be able to track and see progress in their learning.

Donations to this project will improve our classroom by allowing students to work and learn more independently.

The computers will allow students to work independently and will allow me to provide more direct and individualized attention to smaller groups of students who may need it. In addition many of my students do not have computer access at home, this project will allow them to develop 21st century skills that they will need for the rest of their lives.
