Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Despite their daily struggles, my students are happy and fun loving individuals. These kids have seen and experienced things that most will never have to go through. I hear stories of their home life, and I can't believe they can still smile.

My fourth graders are hidden gems, they posses talents that are hidden behind their standardized test results.

Most are below average in reading and writing, as they have little or no support at home. They lack the resources they need to complete most homework assignments. All 21 of my students struggle with the English language as they are all ELL(English Language Learner) students.

My students are awesome. We have built a community in the classroom where they are safe and free to express themselves, through their individual talents. They are wise beyond their years, and I have learned a lot from them.

My Project

Many of my students have no idea what I mean when I mention the word technology. This year I hope to welcome my students to the 21st century and teach them to use technology for research purposes, that is what the Chromebook is for.

I also want them to be proud of their work and be able to display it and share it with their peers.

As ELL students, presenting their work is a vital part of learning the English language. That is why our class needs a document reader.

These items will serve as an introduction into the world of technology that many of my students have not yet experienced.
