Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with an amazing bunch of bilingual students, many of them new to the country. All of them are at different stages of language progression, with the bulk of them at the beginning and emerging stages. All of my students read below grade level in both their home and English language. A hundred percent of my students come from low income or no income families.

They would benefit from a variety of classroom resources to help increase their success in our newly established remote learning platform.

I want to obtain the right technology that would maximize their learning by reaching all different learning styles. With this laptop, I will be able to use Google Meet, share my screen and teach an actual lesson.

My Project

Since mid March, every teacher in New York was switched to remote teaching. It has been a few challenging weeks, but my students and I keep improving. However, I have an old laptop that keeps me limited.

I need up-to-date technology that allows me to deliver online lessons through Google Meet, and helps me reach all different learning styles.

This laptop would allow me to do that and more.

This Macbook will allow me to create lessons and videos digitally for students to view at home or independently. It would also allow me to do live lessons for my English Language Learners.
