My Students

Our classroom is full of love, learning, acceptance, and holds firm to the belief that a growth mindset can set the pace of learning. Our classroom is made up of Standard English Learners and English language Learners from a variety of backgrounds. From Russia to India, Mexico to Columbia, we offer perspectives from all over the world.

We know that to be different and unique is something to strive for, and we love each other for both the things that make us different and the things that we have in common.

We are united as a classroom and grade-level family, and we want to welcome you to join us in celebrating one another. Our differences unite us. No matter where we come from, the languages we speak, the religions we practice, the way we learn, or the abilities that we have, when you walk into our classroom, you are appreciated, you are respected, and you are loved.

My Project

My classroom, along with all the other classrooms at our school (Rio Vista Elementary) are currently upgrading our campus to help our students. Part of the process is finding a better way for students to be able to see shared information in the classroom. We will do that by installing a large television monitor in each room so that all the students can see lessons on monitors that can be seen easily by all.

Currently, students must view information on outdated equipment that doesn’t always work, making it difficult to conduct shared lessons with the current technology used at school sites.

We think we can do better than that. That’s why each teacher at our campus is conducting a Donors Choose campaign to upgrade their classroom. Your donation is an investment in the education of the students and allows our them to better understand and access their curriculum and stay current not only with the needed technology but with current educational trends.
