My Students

A typical day in our classroom involves learning, and having fun doing it. The children will retain more information if they are enjoying it. Our classroom goal is to have all students moving up one reading level. One of our classroom quotes is "always try your best".

Our school and classroom is a very warm, and inviting environment.

We believe in making learning as enjoyable as possible. My students are very diverse culturally, and in their learning styles. I try to meet the needs of all of them as individuals and learners, which can sometimes be a challenge.

My Project

My students need four tablets to help us become a technology rich classroom. The tablets will give my students access to the internet, which they do not have in the classroom. They will be able to access programs and websites to do research projects, as well as practice the skills we are learning in class. The students are constantly arguing over who is going to use the class iPad. If we had more tablets it would alleviate this problem.

The tablets will allow my students to grow in this technology centered world.

They will learn how to use programs to enhance their learning. They will be able to use programs like RazKids that will allow them to practice their reading skills, and improve their comprehension.
