My Students

Help us save our new investment! We want to protect the new laptop that we were given by Donor's Choose and you, our wonderful community, as well as have tools like a Time Capsule to save our work.

This is a magnet school, and very socioeconomically diverse.

Our school was founded largely to address the resegregation of schools with the end of court ordered busing. It has been a great success for our students, grades 6-12 who come from all over the city and the world. They learn so much from each others diverse backgrounds!

My Project

We will use these resources to help us explore our world via online technology, PowerPoint, Google Art Project (where the world's museums share their collections), and more! One activity the students love is exploring ancient cave paintings in 360 degrees in Lascaux, France thanks to our new technology.

While our school is high performing, we have few material resources.

I previously came from a Title One school, with tons of money to order materials. Though over half our students are Title One, we receive far less funding than other schools in the district. This leaves our students at a technological disadvantage. Our students deserve teachers who can provide them with a multisensory experience, and adequate technology will help!
