My Students

Educating children to be 21st Century learners is a great challenge in these difficult economic times. We are trying our best here at our school. Our kids are doing a great job! Blogging, webpage design, podcasts and digitally designing using the Bamboos! We want to continue doing this work!

We are a Pre-K to Grade 5 School in New York City.

We have 625 children enrolled in our school. We are a Title I school with many students new to the United States. We see over 400 children weekly in our computer lab. The children continue to learn digital story telling, web page design, using Flip video cameras and one of their favorites...creating graphic design using the Bamboo pens & tablets.

My Project

If we receive funding for 15 additional Bamboo Pens & Tablets all the students can create beautiful artwork using their OWN Bamboo tablets instead of having to share them. Many teachers also come to the lab to use the Bamboo Pens and Tablets to create graphic designs and edit photographs. From pictures of the beautiful multicultural faces of the children in their class, to the beautiful artwork they create and edit using Microsoft Paint or Kidpix. As you can see, all the children and teachers would benefit by receiving this generous donation!

Our students are digital "natives" using technology is "how" our kids learn today.
