Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember back when you were 11 years old? Do you remember your 5th-grade teacher? I sure don't! This is because that person probably never impacted my life...That teacher most likely never had an environment that addressed my needs, made me feel comfortable, motivated me, or took the time to make sure that I was having fun while learning!

This upcoming school year, I will have the opportunity to be a part of the lives of 18 AMAZING 5TH GRADE GIFTED STUDENTS!

These children all have different learning styles, different abilities, ​and come from different cultural backgrounds. Some children are intrinsic motivators, while others need extrinsic motivation. The one thing that these children all have in common is their willingness to learn, their desire to succeed, but most importantly, their hunger and eagerness for knowledge.

Their excitement for knowledge is contagious! They are not only inquirers, but they continuously rise up to any challenge that they are given. They are truly an amazing group of children, I can’t wait for this upcoming school year to begin!!!

My Project

Allowing students to pick their own learning tools and styles benefit them greatly! It stimulates and boosts both their learning and self-confidence! I have witnessed this first hand! It’s amazing what children can accomplish when provided with innovative tools tailored to their own learning style!
