Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What would an ideal classroom look like? At our school, we strive to create students that not only exceed academically, but nurture students on a social and emotional level as well. We are a community of learners and we do our best every day.

Most of my students come from impoverished backgrounds.

This does not stop them, however, from achieving their goals in the classroom. I am so proud of how hard they work as they continue to grow into who they are each day.

My Project

An ideal classroom is comprised of students who are confident, motivated, and independent. The items that I have chosen will help students on their journey to become independent learners.

With all of the distractions in today's society, students often require help with focusing on the task at hand and organizing their thoughts.

These items will be essential to our classroom to help with these processes. Writing folders will help students create a writing portfolio in an organized manner. Privacy folders and headphones can eliminate distractions and assist students in maintaining their focus. Students can also visit the rug to calm themselves when they need a mental break.
