My Project

Dear Donor/Reader,

Greetings.

I’m a teacher in a special education classroom dedicated to supporting students with unique learning needs. I’m reaching out to you today to ask for your help in transforming my students’ learning environment with flexible seating options that will make a tremendous difference in their daily experience and academic success.

Flexible seating is a powerful tool in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom. For my students, who often face challenges such as attention difficulties, sensory processing issues, and varying levels of physical mobility, having the ability to choose their workspace is essential. These seating options will also help develop important life skills, such as independence, problem-solving, and self-regulation. Students will learn how to assess their own needs, make thoughtful choices, and develop greater responsibility for their learning journey. The ultimate goal is to increase their engagement, reduce distractions, and create a more inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.

The students in my classroom are truly one of a kind. They are resilient, creative, and incredibly hardworking. Each day, they show me their ability to persevere through challenges that many of us might never understand. Despite the obstacles they face, they bring a sense of joy, curiosity, and enthusiasm to the classroom.
