My Project

I am a new 1st grade special education teacher at a high-need school in Brooklyn and I am starting out with minimal materials.

The floor cushions are very much needed as we do not have a rug or any place for students to sit for group meetings.

These will help students be comfortable when we meet on the floor for group discussions.

These manipulatives are essential learning tools for students as they build their math skills and spatial awareness. Counting cubes make abstract concepts concrete because students can touch, manipulate, and connect them. Legos improve students' creativity and problem-solving skills and help students better understand basic geometry and even physics! These items will be used for various small group activities on a regular basis.

Any and all help is very much appreciated!
