Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first grade students may be young, but they are brimming with curiousity and the motivation to learn.

This year, despite distance learning, my students have been such a joy to teach.

They show up every day wanting to learn, ready to engage in discussions and demonstrate their learning.

My Project

As we return back into the classroom this fall, many of my first graders will be entering into a classroom for the first time ever.

We have thoughtfully rearranged our classrooms to reflect our pedagogy in supporting students through joy and play.

These supplies are the very last finishing touches to help make the classroom more comfortable, and also safe!

Comfy chair cushions, table corner protectors, and beautiful rattan decor will all help to bring elements of home- love, safety, and care into our classroom community. Here's to an amazing 2021-2022 school year!
