My students need more access to technology. The iPod and iPad will help students access Class DoJo's new feature Student Story. They will also be used for math, reading, and music throughout our day.

My Students
My 1st graders will in NYC and come from a variety of backgrounds. Our classroom is a place where students are equals and respected. Our school provides many opportunities for students.
Many parents at our school are active and involved.
They are looking for ways to work with their child at home and have a nice partnership with teachers. I use Class DoJo to connect parents to our classroom. I share pictures, videos, and notes with parents on a daily basis.
While some students have technology access at home for others there are less opportunities.
My Project
I use Class DoJo in my classroom to connect parents to our classroom community. Class DoJo has added a new feature called Student Story where students will be able to take pictures of their work and share it with their families.
These devices will keep parents up to date on what is happening in our classroom!
I love to use music in my classroom and the iPod will give students the independence to be our "Class DJ". We will use music in the morning, for transitions, for dance breaks, and at the end of the day.
My students already have some access to iPads and adding another to our class will help more students to be connected and working on math and reading goals.
