Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the cutest 1st graders alive! They are eager and ready to learn everyday. We are a family that helps and encourages each other. My 1st graders are curious and willing to try their best at everything they do.

My Project

My economically disadvantaged 1st-grade students are eagerly learning from home. The tools in my project will help students maintain engagement while remotely learning how to read. They will be able to use tactile resources to master fundamental reading and writing skills. The headphones will minimize distractions and support creating an environment that is conducive to mindful learning.

1st grade is a crucial developmental stage for our children.

During this pandemic, these tools will encourage students to participate in our Zoom meetings with great confidence and joy. This project will change my students' lives.
